I bought my first stock at 18, PG&E, and watched it double. That early win sparked something in me. The combination of numbers, strategy, and real financial outcomes felt like the perfect fit. More than three decades later, I'm still drawn to the same things that pulled me in at the start.

I founded Haberl Wealth Management to work with people who've spent years building something meaningful and now want to protect it. Most of my clients are approaching or living in retirement. They've accumulated wealth through discipline and hard work, and they're looking for someone who can help them turn those assets into reliable income without taking unnecessary risks.

My approach starts with listening. I want to understand what matters most to you, not just financially, but in terms of how you want to live and what you want to leave behind. From there, I design strategies that reflect your specific goals and tolerance for uncertainty. I build portfolios with an emphasis on stability and principal protection, and I stay in regular contact so you're never left wondering where you stand.

I earned my CLU and ChFC designations and graduated from Long Beach State. I've been doing this work for 33 years. The technical side of financial planning is only part of the equation. The other part is being someone clients can rely on through market volatility, life transitions, and major decisions. Acting as a fiduciary isn't just a legal standard for me. It's how I've always operated.

The reward in this work comes from seeing clients move from uncertainty to confidence. It also gives me the freedom to spend time with the people who matter most.

I grew up in La Crescenta, a suburb of Los Angeles, playing baseball and basketball year-round. That stable, active upbringing shaped a lot of who I am today. I've been in Huntington Beach for years now with my wife Sue. We met on vacation in Cancun, and have been sharing adventures ever since. Our sons Max and Jake are heavily into lacrosse and basketball, but their real obsession is fishing. Most weekends, you'll find them on the water.

I stay active through golf, skiing, tennis, pickleball, biking, and ocean swims. But the center of everything is family. Time with Sue, the boys, my parents, my brother, and our extended circle is what I value most.
