Play information:
Called the funniest farce ever written, Noises Off presents a manic menagerie of itinerant actors rehearsing a flop where out-of-control egos, memory loss and passionate affairs turn every performance into a high-risk comedy adventure. Progressing from flubbed lines and missed cues in rehearsal to mounting friction between cast members in the final performance, Noises Off is a comic triumph of slamming doors, falling trousers and flying sardines! Non-stop laughing is guaranteed!
Please note that this production contains adult language and situations and is intended for mature audiences.

*Friday, May 16
Friends of the Library May Authors’ Luncheon
The Friends of the Library are hosting an author luncheon on Friday, May 16 at the Central Library. The guest speakers are James R. Preston and Dianne Harman.
James R.
Preston's Surf City
mysteries are documents of this time and place featuring non-detective
detective T. R. Macdonald, a Wall Street wizard whose personal brokenness,
intellectual rigor and sense of rightness are the necessary tools for revealing
an Orange County that is far darker than our local
real estate promoters would like us to know.
Dianne Harman draws her stories and characters from a diverse business and
personal background, dividing her time between Huntington
Beach and Sacramento,
where her husband was a state senator. Mystery thrillers, Blue Coyote Motel and
award-winning Blue Coyote in Provence
presents an engaging look at the human frailties in all of us.
Book sales and signings will be available after the program.
Tickets are $20 per person. If paying by check, please make payable to FOTL and mail to 7111 Talbert Avenue, Huntington Beach, CA 92648, or drop it off at the Friends Gift Shop. Reservations must be received no later than Monday, May 12. For more information contact the Friends of the Library at (714) 375-8429.
